The Warehouse Manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of products within the warehouse. This role involves managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse layout, and implementing procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, warehouse management experience, and a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rotation to minimize obsolescence and maximize storage space utilization.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork to achieve operational goals and customer satisfaction.

Inventory Control:

  • Implement inventory management best practices to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify variances or issues.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage configurations to improve space utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Streamline warehouse processes and workflows to reduce lead times, improve productivity, and minimize costs.
  • Implement technology solutions (e.g., warehouse management systems) to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet established quality standards before shipment.
  • Monitor product condition and handling procedures to prevent damage and maintain product integrity throughout the warehouse process.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety policies and procedures among warehouse staff.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of warehouse operations, including inventory levels, shipments, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis on warehouse performance, productivity, and efficiency for management review.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
