Ensures warehouse organization in areas of responsibility is optimized and meets company standards. Implements 5S initiatives in the warehouse environment and monitors sustainability.
Directs and assigns tasks to warehouse employees.
Participates in and promotes inventory planning activities in conjunction with PSLs and demand planners to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with business activity. Includes participation in inventory planning teams and other inventory planning initiatives.
Provides on the job training to warehouse employees in warehouse operations and processes and SAP transaction processing
Runs reports on a regular basis to monitor master data accuracy and ensures corrective action has been implemented and additional personnel training provided if deficiencies are detected.
Provides inventory and other materials reports to support P&M management and PSLs and produces documentation required to support business transactions.
Implements Lean and continuous improvement initiatives relating to materials management processes in area of responsibility.
• Interaction with customers and vendors required.
• High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred.
• Five years of related warehouse or operations experience or two-year degree plus 3 years.
• Experience in operations environment, including handheld scanners.
• Strong computer skills and analytical ability required.
Role will have input for the planning and budgeting of the warehouse and is responsible for directing all activities and related functions of the warehouse operation. Responsibilities may include assisting the warehouse operations leadership on the layout planning, establishment of document files, preparation of required documents and reports, and providing direction to warehouse employees. May be responsible for overseeing the training for the warehouse team.
